Have you considered using ray tracing for PC and next-gen consoles? NVIDIA DLSS will be implemented after launch along with other NVIDIA RTX features. Will you add support for NVIDIA DLSS and/or NVIDIA Reflex? So we’ll definitely be looking at modding tools post-launch, but don’t currently have a timeline on their release.
CHIVALRY 2 ROADMAP MODS
Our team even made some of the more popular mods themselves: Giant Slayers and Black Knight. Of course, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare saw success, thanks in part to a popular modding scene.
CHIVALRY 2 ROADMAP MOD
We know that mod creation tools are an important part of Chivalry 2’s post-launch lifespan. When do you plan to release mod tools for Chivalry 2? However, you can buy cosmetic items at any time with CrownsĮven if it hasn’t been unlocked by the game’s progress yet.Īge of Chivalry was born as a mod of Half-Life 2, and Chivalry: Medieval Warfare also supported modding. After you unlock an item, you can buy it with gold earned from playing the game. In-game customization items are “unlocked” by increasing each of the four classes as you play. There are no gameplay advantages whatsoever to spending crowns, nor spending the gold currency earned – these are purely related to visual and character voice customization options. To explain it further, crowns (premium currency) and gold (earning currency) are the two currencies used in the game. When Chivalry 2 launches on June 8, we’re really only just beginning its journey.Ĭhivalry 2 only has aesthetic microtransactions as an option for players who want to immediately get their hands on certain armor, weapon skins, and other visual-only options. We want Chivalry 2 to leave a lasting impression and memories in players’ minds and we understand that robust post-launch support is absolutely critical to the health of the game and the community. We’ll be supporting Chivalry 2 post-launch with new maps, modes, horses, weapons, customization options and more – and we already have a tightly planned roadmap.

CHIVALRY 2 ROADMAP UPDATE
How often do you plan to update the game with new content after launch? Will there be microtransactions? How well players perform ultimately comes down to personal preference, and many of the features of our battle system help create more accessible access to the game, whether you’re playing with a controller or mouse and keyboard. We’ve seen a lot of players during our PC alpha, in fact they stick with using a controller too. We designed the gamepad controls to feel very comfortable and also include features such as optional aim assist and joystick sensitivity controls to make the experience even smoother. They may or may not want to enable Cross-Play. Input device is not a matchmaking criterion at game launch, but console players can choose whether: Are you going to implement the selected input device as a matchmaking criterion? What do you think of the balance between gamepads versus mouse and keyboard? However, we’ve seen (especially during the Closed Beta) a vocal number of fans wanting more competitive modes and we definitely hear this request and plan to act on it as soon as possible – it’s a major priority for us after launch.Ĭhivalry 2 offers crossplay between many platforms and input devices. The game at launch focuses on the modes we’ve seen the most: large-scale combat, sieges, and large open deathmatches. We will also provide options for more competitive people. The combat system offers players a lot of room to improve, play brain games and keep improving their skills long after their first game, but also allows brand new players to have a fighting chance without getting discouraged. We also designed it to have a very high skill ceiling, with a lot of potential for a competitive scene. What are the options available to those who want to play Chivalry 2 competitively?Īn important factor in the design of Chivalry 2 is that we want everyone who picks it up to be able to enjoy it right away. Would you consider releasing different time versions of the same maps to provide some additional visual variety?ĭefinitely a nice idea! We’ve discussed this sort of thing internally before and it’s something we can explore in the future. By the end of these cards, you’ll feel like you’ve been on an incredible journey, almost like the fellowship does in The Lord of the Rings. In the Fall of Lionspire stage one as attackers escort battering rams to knock down the gates, then move to another stage to capture the town square, then attack a huge bridge in a stalemate until you can finally storm the castle and its ballistae destroy. You go through 5-6 different “regular” map-sized stages that all form a cohesive, expansive level. They are designed to truly give the feeling that you are conducting an epic siege against entire cities and towns. The Team Objective maps are absolutely huge.

The Team Deathmatch / Free-for-All maps are all single-stage arenas large enough for 64 players.
